Monorail Transportation Is Great, If You Pick The Right Hotel!
When you select a hotel for your Las Vegas visit, you must consider your transportation needs. Certainly, you can always get a taxi and you may get a car rental, yet the convenient Las Vegas Monorail is another great option, if you select the correct hotel. The Las Vegas Monorail is fantastic for going to the convention center or for going to casinos on the opposite side of the strip. The Las Vegas Monorail connects the Convention Center to several South and North Strip Hotels. Although dozens of hotels are in walking distance of the Las Vegas Monorail, a mere few provide actual convenience.
Seven monorail stops exist. The Sahara Stop is at the
strip's north end. Going south from the Sahara, you will
stop at Harrah's, the Hilton, the Convention Center,
Bally's, The Flamingo, and lastly, the MGM Gr
and.
If you stay at one of these hotels, you will have really
close access to the monorail. Several other hotels are
almost as convenient. The Harrah's stop will provide
you with simple access to the Imperial Palace and also the
Mirage is merely across the road. Caesars Palace is directly
across Las Vegas Boulevard from the Flamingo stop. The
Bellagio is merely across the road from the Bally's stop and
Paris is directly next to it. The MGM stop is the final one
going south with simple access to New York New York just
across Las Vegas Boulevard.
The duration of the whole trip is around 14 minutes and costs $5 for each ride. Other options are a one day unlimited pass for $14 or a three day unlimited pass for $30. The train is available from Monday to Thursday, during the hours of 7am until 2am. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the train is in use from 7am until 3am.
