There are several different types of accommodations available at the Excalibur. The standard rooms offer 1 king or 2 queen bed configurations. The rooms come with a hair dryer and irons as well as cable TV. You can also upgrade your standard room to a turret room to take full advantage of the “Castle” theme.
If you enjoy a little more technology then you can always upgrade to a “Widescreen” room. Here you will enjoy a 42” widescreen plasma TV, an IPod compatible alarm clock and pillow top mattresses. There are 2000 of these Widescreen rooms and they offer spectacular city views.
For those traveling with families, or couples desiring a little more romance, Guest Suites are also available. For couples there are the spa rooms or parlor suites featuring a spa built for two. Parlor suites include a full living room and dining area as well as a separate guest bath.

Things To Do Outside Of The Strip
When you consider Las Vegas, the 1st thing which will come to mind is the famous casinos, hotels, and the Strip. There are even Vegas Strip Tours offered that allow you to view the city lights or any of the casino water or outdoor light shows. Yet, there are many more really thrilling locations for you to visit.
You can travel on various Grand Canyon bus tours and look at
one of the most lovely places in the world. A normal tour
lasts for 11 hours which allows adequate time for a scenic
stroll and a meal. For people who are more brave, helicopter
trips to the Grand Canyon are available and you can see
things from a different angle that most people don't see.
For some of the most impressive sightseeing in the Southwest you might want to visit the Red Rock Canyon and take in a tour of the Valley of Fire. You could do this by bus or by jeep. There are also five hour horseback rides through the canyon, where you can get an up close and personal view of the red sandstone formations and multicolored high desert mountain landscape.
Lake Mead and the Colorado River are national treasures with their beautiful blue water. Don't overlook the majestic sites while you are in Las Vegas. Step away from the hectic pace of the strip to enjoy a river boat excursion, or book an overnight white water rafting trip.

Monorail Transportation Is Great, If You Pick The Right Hotel!
When you select a hotel for your Las Vegas visit, you must consider your transportation needs. Certainly, you can always get a taxi and you may get a car rental, yet the convenient Las Vegas Monorail is another great option, if you select the correct hotel. The Las Vegas Monorail is fantastic for going to the convention center or for going to casinos on the opposite side of the strip. The Las Vegas Monorail connects the Convention Center to several South and North Strip Hotels. Although dozens of hotels are in walking distance of the Las Vegas Monorail, a mere few provide actual convenience.
Seven monorail stops exist. The Sahara Stop is at the
strip's north end. Going south from the Sahara, you will
stop at Harrah's, the Hilton, the Convention Center,
Bally's, The Flamingo, and lastly, the MGM Grand.
If you stay at one of these hotels, you will have really
close access to the monorail. Several other hotels are
almost as convenient. The Harrah's stop will provide
you with simple access to the Imperial Palace and also the
Mirage is merely across the road. Caesars Palace is directly
across Las Vegas Boulevard from the Flamingo stop. The
Bellagio is merely across the road from the Bally's stop and
Paris is directly next to it. The MGM stop is the final one
going south with simple access to New York New York just
across Las Vegas Boulevard.
The duration of the whole trip is around 14 minutes and costs $5 for each ride. Other options are a one day unlimited pass for $14 or a three day unlimited pass for $30. The train is available from Monday to Thursday, during the hours of 7am until 2am. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the train is in use from 7am until 3am.
